    - given that he is an hour out of Sydney, I called to confirm there was no damage to the car (chips, dents etc) and he said (and followed up with an email) that the body was in perfect condition. The vehicle inspection report showed a chip in the windscreen and three other noticeable marks.

    - boasted that he had driven the car to Orange and Sydney (nothing like knowing that the car dealer has flogged your car for thousands of kms!) and then failed to update the sales documents/listing with the new kms reading

    - tried to tell us his lowest price was higher than what he had advertised it for

    - lacked basic knowledge on the car. Asked if it had rain sensor wipers and he said 'how should I know?'

    - didn't send signed transfer papers, despite being asked for them multiple times which caused an issue at RTA when trying to register the car in our name

    - we arranged a pick up time (mid morning on a weekday) and when we called to say we were 20mins away he said he had gone to Canberra and asked us to wait at the dealership for 3 hours until he got back! When we said this wasn't possible, he said he could ship it to Sydney for a fee but wouldn't cover the cost of this, even though he admitted it was his mistake that he wasn't there

    - a week after having the car, the tyre pressure lights came on, and on inspection from the auto maker mechanic they advised the run flat tyres had been plugged which they would never do or recommend. They said it was a common cheap used car sales man trick to avoid replacing tyres.

AVOID THIS CAR DEALER! Full of lies, unpleasant to deal with and not worth chasing what seems like a good deal (as it turns out not to be on the long run). Some examples of our experience:

    - the car was left outside the dealership with the keys in it..... and less than 1/4 tank of fuel!

    - told us he had the cheapest model of this car in Australia, and argued when we could show him others that were identical and cheaper. Then said the other dealerships didn't offer the 3 month warranty that he does - which they actually do offer

    - asked him what was originally in the compartments in the boot and he said 'nothing'. We showed him a photo of what should be in there and he just shrugged.
