  I have been visiting the Elephant Boy Cafe since 2007 and have always been offered the same friendly service. Elephant Boy Cafe is a very cosy cafe right in the centre of town. I love the bookshelves that wrap around the entire cafe, they make the cafe very inviting. I enjoy all the menu has to offer, the great food and the excellent coffee!

  Although, last time I went, when I walked in the door some spice in the air caught in my throat and made me cough so hard I vomited on the street, but that might be a one time thing.

  This cafe was recommended but we were extremely dissapointed with our lunchl. The foccacia was mean as was the accompanying salad. It was served with cold chips (which we didn't order). When we complained the waiter said he added the chips because we were sharing!! We won't return .

  The decor is lovely though, and there are many cool things to look at and interact with, and the food and coffee are nice.

  Been here once few years ago and saw that it is under new management. Walked in. Nice quirky library setting. Only 2 tables were taken at 915am. Service was quick. Had our coffee orders taken and water served. Coffee was average. Ordered the mustard ham poached eggs on toast $16.9 and 3 egg mushroom omelette &18.9. The worse poached eggs ever. It was microwaved eggs and hardened, sitting on top of mustard and thin ham on supermarket sandwich loaf bread slice. The 3 egg omelette was the flattest thinness omelette unlike the fluffy omelettes that you tend to get at cafes. I wondered if it was only 1 egg from the flatness and size of it. Paying cafe prices yet getting takeaway sandwich shop quality. Felt ripped off. We were disappointed to have wasted our time, money and stomach space in beautiful Bowral where there are heaps of other nice cafes. Won't ever bother going in again while visiting Bowral.

  It is snug, that is for sure! Not friendly to wheelchairs, and all the chairs at proper tables are weird fold up chairs and very uncomfortable. The only non picnic style chairs are the couches at the coffee table, which is so low as to make eating very awkward.

  Just went in for a coffee, it was OK. Decor feels like I’m in some gentleman’s club in London, would feel cosy on a cold winter’s day.
